With news of the potential acquisition by Google and Beatthatquote.com now going through, we were interested in your thoughts as to whether you felt deals such as this were OK, or whether you thought Google should not be allowed to buy companies which could result in monopolisation of potential verticals.

Google should be able to buy whoever they want to buy. They should also be able to be sued in to oblivion by antitrust authorities. Checks and balances and all that.

As they say – the only organisation that can bring down Google – is Google.
This is a hard one; I think it all depends on what google would plan to do with the website upon purchasing it.
