Manchester SEO – a new date on the UK SEO calendar
Last night saw the second Manchester SEO event take place at the House 9 bar in Manchester. Despite the fact Manchester can boast a number of high profile SEO agencies (amongst them major players in the UK Search Marketing scene), the community in Manchester hasn’t really taken off as it the way it has in other places such as London and even Leeds.
As mentioned above this is only the second evening that has taken place, however the turnout was highly encouraging with attendees from agencies such as Latitude (including Head of SEO Andy Heaps, Lloyd, Phil etc), ISpy (Peter Cobley), MediaEdge, iCom (Adrian Berry and Mindy Gofton), Kevin Jones (TecMark) and obviously ourselves (MediaVest – David Lindop, James Hanson) and even some client side peeps (hat tip to Ryan Mckay from Cheap Tents) . Its a highly encouraging start and hopefully we can start seeing some traction from further afield, given the vibrant Leeds market at present.
Much thanks must go out to Ben McKay and David Towers (from MediaEdge) who were heavily involved in the arranging of the evening.

Hi Pete, Thanks for the Just Search mention, I’ll make sure I get out for a few drinks, introduce myself properly, good call it seems London have been leading the way with SEO socialising so it’s good to get a few Northern minds out for a drink
